Science Club - Jullov

Kosma held science club today and we tried to make slime! Kos found a recipe that was borax free which sounded great a fritids project. Students mixed, glue, water, food colouring, liquid detergent and shaving cream.

Glue!
Shaving cream!
A few drops of food colouring.
Team work!

It was still sticky so we added some salt since we did not have any saline solution.
It was still sticky so then we added baking soda as a different recipe said to!

Adding more baking soda!

It was still sticky, so we added more baking soda! Then it got a little thicker but remained sticky.
In science, many experiments do not work out. Scientists don't call it a failure though, they call it a learning experience. Kosma, wanting to learn from our slime time fail, read up and thinks that we were missing the binding agent which should have been in our detergent but also can be found borax.

Oh well, we had fun watching the colours blend and practised sharing!
