Påsklov - Day 4

Our 4th and last day of Easter break was a calm and "mysig" day. The sun was shining and 13C degrees outside made us really happy!

After lunch we had 4 different kinds of movies that the kids could choose from. In the end they chose:

To finish the day we had "mellis" outside. Stella made delicious sandwiches and strawberry banana smoothies for us!!

On our 3rd day the weather was starting to get really good. We played loads outside. Then the kids had the chance to learn how to make yarn bracelets and necklaces with Narges and Kosma. They looked amazing!

After, they could also choose to go baking if they wanted. The recipe today? Brownie!

Ingredients

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 large eggs

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 180°.

Mix oil and sugar until well blended.

Add eggs and vanilla; stir just until blended.

Mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

Stir dry ingredients into the oil/sugar mixture.

Pour into greased square pan.

Bake for 20 minutes or until sides just start to pull away from the pan.

Cool completely before cutting.

For an extra taste we added white chocolate chips to the brownie dough...yummy!!!

In our second day we had a tiring but really interesting visit to the "Tekniska Museet". Our journey started by taking the 178 bus to Danderyd, then we took the subway until Östermalmstorg. From there we walked to Nybroplan and took the tram to Djurgårdsbron. Then we had a nice walk through the Embassy area until we got to the "Museiparken" area.

It was a long but very productive day!

First day of Easter break and we would like to start by thanking the mysterious "Easter bunnies" that had decorated our school garden. We just know that these "mysterious easter bunnies" are third graders' parents. Thank you for bringing the Easter spirit to our school. :-)
