Neverland
Despite having the best intelligence division and resources in the world, we failed in protecting the kids of Rådan. At approximately 0915 Thursday morning, the kids disappeared and were not seen again until 1330 when they returned with fantastic stories of Neverland, Blackbeard, pirates, an Elven princess, magic, codes, treasure maps, and Peter Pan.
The kids were kidnapped and taken to Neverland. The Pirates locked up the kids in the dungeon where they met the Elven Princess.
The Elven Princess empathised with the kids and explained that Neverland was once a peaceful land. A place where lost children found a new family, a new place where the children, elves, fairies and pirates co-existed in friendly rivalry.
Blackbeard, the most fierce pirate ever, found the secret passage to Neverland, having heard of the immense treasures it holds, and sailed through.
He tricked the Elven Princess into casting Peter Pan into an ethereal prison and also turned the Lost Children into pirates.
He tricked the Elven Princess into casting Peter Pan into an ethereal prison and also turned the Lost Children into pirates.
But there is a good pirate, a double agent, who helps the lost kids to find a way out.
...at least they all got home safely.
The mines in Neverland are full of "crystals" and Blackbeard uses them to make his pirate army invincible.
The lost children have to find these crystals. When each crystal is unlocked by a person of pure heart, it will reveal a single piece of desired information.
The crystals lead to the discovery and unlocking of Blackbeard's cryptex, where four treasure maps were hidden inside that showed 28 possible locations of four buried magical elven items. These elven items, when brought together, released Peter Pan from his otherworldy prison.
Fritids would like to sincerely apologise to the parents of the kids involved, and promise we will endeavour to not let such an incident happen ever again.

Sportlov - Day 5
And finally our last day of our "Sportlov". It was more of a "mysig" day! :-) We played a lot outside during the morning and in the afternoon we had our traditional Rådan Bio. The film chosen? Something related to winter of course!! :-) And why not watch the funny Ice Age again?
Our cinema's doors were closed until our "public" arrived. :-)
The kids had to show their movie tickets to be able to go in and to have a popcorn combo.
For those who wanted, they could have coconut topping on their popcorn. As they remind us of snowflakes!
Juice was also offered
Everyone happy and comfortable. What a nice way to finish our sport break!
See you in our next break!!! Happy Friday!
Sportlov - Day 4
In our 4th day we had a calm day at school. We started by baking some Semlor. I apologize but I completely forgot to take pictures of the buns already baked! :-S They were tasty and we filled the Semla buns with custard as we cannot have any kind of nuts at school.
During the day we had a special visit at school...Elias' dogs!! <3
I think Kosma really had fun with them! ;-)
We played Dodgeball
And we had our own version of the "Melodiefestivalen" - The Rådan Melo
The kids could perform for their friends...
...and they were all really impressive!
Below you can see a little bit of our Melo show. The first video shows the first performers. They were using a box of beads to help with the beat. Amazing!
The second video shows us a small part of one of the interviews we had just after every presentation. Exactly like the real show. Great questions and great interviewers!
Sportlov - Day 3
Our third day was one of the best Fritids days we ever had. It can seem a little bit repetitive but I can assure you that we are having a blast during this "Sport break".
Elias, Kalles, Samuel and Simon played hockey with the kids. As I don't have the genes for snow sports, I watched them with pride! :-)
7C degress and sunshine...
Elias was pretty happy with that!!
Ice skating on a chair?
Well...I think it looked quite fun to be honest! :-)
Time for a little pause and why not doing it on the ice?
For lunch we had the kid's favourite..HOT DOGS!!!!
Yummy
Aussie on ice...WATCH OUT!!! ;-)
Sportlov - Day 2
Our second day was a cultural day. We went to one of the most amazing museums in Stockholm. The Vasa Museum.
09:00 hrs sharp we left the school. Our walk to the bus stop was blessed with nice morning sunshine. We were sure then that the day was going be good!
A little sightseeing on the way is never too much!
How not to get amazed by this amazing ship?
Our students were listening very carefully all the info about it.
They were really amazed and showed a lot of interest in every detail.
Some of them tried everything they could.
It was definitely a good and fun day!
Sportlov - Day 1
Our first day of Sportlov started with the kids making friendship wrist bands. They used first rubber loom bands to make the bracelets. It seemed that they all had a lot of experience in making those kinds of bracelets. It was definitely a nice way to start the day.
After that, Narges and Kosma taught them how to make square-knot friendship bracelets. Are you wondering what it is? :-) Take a look at the pictures below and you will be amazed with how beautiful they look!

What a wonderful work!!!
Our day was just starting. Many of you don't know but Ed has a degree in Fine Arts. Always when he can he is trying to teach the kids some drawing tips. I'll be posting in the near future more of his works. You might have one of his drawings at home. We are always making copies of them so the children can colour them and have fun.
We couldn't miss baking in our first day of course! We baked a very special kind of cookie. A double flavoured cookie. We first did a vanilla dough and then a chocolate dough. We roll the doughs out and cut small little hearts in both doughs. Then we just swapped the hearts to have a beautiful contrast in our cookies. I must confess they were a little bit hard to make, but the results were amazing!
In the meantime, the ones that weren't baking were definitely using their imagination. Summertime memories? :-)
Well, while summer doesn't come we have fun in the snow. Do you know that Kalle is responsible for the recycling projects in our school? So he really knows how to make fun out of recycling material. This time they built an "igloo". I think it looked absolutely gorgeous. They even had a floor and a roof.
After the igloo was built, they painted it as a great final "touch"
Continuing with the recycling material fun...Samuel had this awesome idea of transforming himself into a robot, YES a paper robot! I can promise you it was funny to watch. And of course we had children who decided to try that later as well.
And to finish our day, why not tell you some of our fun free times? Do you know what we do when we are on a breaks in our "arbetsrum"? Well, Hayley, our first grade english teacher can really entertain us sometimes. She is a professional Gymnast as well and on these pictures Narges face is priceless!! Enjoy! :-)
