During höst lov we baked monster dentures!! We were inspired by The Girl Who Ate Everything Blog with their awesome vampire teeth. We made some adjustments though, such as using mini meringue as teeth instead of marshmallows and as we made monster teeth there was no need for the almond slivers (we also have students with nut allergies).To recreate our monster teeth, you will need cookies (we baked some earlier that day using this recipe), red food colouring, icing, and mini meringue toppings (often found near the ice cream).
- Mix icing with red food colouring until you are happy with the colour.
- Cut cookies in half, to be the upper and lower jaws.
- Spread icing on both halves of the cookie.
- Carefully line up mini meringues along the circular side of one half of the cookie.
- Put the other iced cookie half on top of the teeth.
- Voila! You have a set of monster dentures!
